Strong values keep St. Albans’ own Mill River Brewing anchored to its community. Talking with the folks from the brewery, supporting local artists is clearly a big part of that.
This is an exciting collaborative effort for us. Set to release their seasonal 'Oktoberfest’ ale later this year, the family-owned craft beer company is looking for your captivating art & design work to give their latest label an end-of-Autumn vibe with an unmistakably Vermont twist.
🧠 PromptAn October-esque Vermont vibe with bold, Bavarian flair. Just to be clear: This is entirely open to your unique, creative interpretation—wunderbar!
🏆 PrizeDeadline is June 30th. The winning artist will receive a $250 prize, credit on the label, and the knowledge that their work is displayed on store shelves across the state.
It’d be a good idea to anticipate working directly with the Mill River Brewing team on a small number of minor edits. We’ve been told that further collaboration is a possibility, too.

Mill River Brewing’s cans are made from aluminum and wrapped in a digitally-printed, full-color label with extremely rectangular dimensions.
Certain areas of the label are dedicated to important information that will overlay any artwork placed underneath.
Focus on the creative visual aspects of the label—we’ll add the text, no problem.
Your artwork must adapt to accommodate those required elements—feel free to download the template.
Logo — The Mill River Brewing logo will be centered on the label, elevated towards the top, and layered on top of your artwork.
